Our global reach and capabilities allow us to bridge the most complex supplier networks in Formula 1 and beyond.

From next-generation blockchain technology to seamlessly connected multi-modal solutions, we consult with McLaren Racing to deliver efficiently and sustainably, so they’re always race-ready.

Our partnership with McLaren F1 also provides a global platform to engage with customers, prospects and stakeholders, forming an essential part of our business growth plans in the automotive, technology and energy sectors.

HOW WE CONSULT ON McLAREN RACING’S LOGISTICS ROUTES

We identified a multi-modal transportation route that enables us to have a more environmentally friendly approach. For example, shifting from road to rail or sea for long-haul transport can significantly reduce carbon emissions compared to using trucks for the entire journey.

  • SMARTER AND MORE SUSTAINABLE CASE STUDY

    MOVING McLAREN RACING FREIGHT SUSTAINABLY

The DP World F1 partnership supported the McLaren Formula 1 Team by transporting essential race kits via smarter and more sustainable pathways from the Circuit of The Americas to Formula 1’s inaugural race in Las Vegas.

    Blueprint for Success

Leveraging our comprehensive multi-modal network, we utilised a combination of bio-fuel and electric-powered trucks and diesel-electric rail to ensure 1,500 tons of the team’s critical equipment was delivered on time, allowing the team to focus on their core mission of achieving excellence on track. This was the first time an electric truck of this kind was used in F1 race logistics.

The electric trucks produce no tailpipe emissions and emit 47% less carbon emissions across their lifecycle than their diesel counterparts. Using biofuel instead of fossil diesel on this route emitted 75% less carbon emissions.
